The Summer is here and you have clients wanting to train outside but you are only used to a gym with all the equipment provided for you? This is a very common situation personal trainers are now in but feel unconfident without rowing machines and weights benches to hand.
Pros and Cons
The park is now the perfect place to take clients and by investing a small amount on equipment it can help your business a huge amount as there would be no gym rental fee to pay plus have large open spaces to use so the client feels in a comfortable environment. One con is obviously the weather where some trainers go all year but training in a park when its snowing or raining cats and dogs isn’t always the best for the clients health and safety. Also during the winter months it gets dark early and light late in the morning so most of the time outdoor training is best kept for the summer months.
Equipment
Jogging outside can increase motivation more than on a treadmill, also a park bench can be used for dips, step ups, press ups etc. In terms of investment you can get boxing gloves/pads, resistance bands, light weights and these will all fit into a backpack so convenient to move around and cheap to buy.
Take advantage of the weather while we still have it and get your clients out into the fresh air and exercise.
